Company

Efficiency Capital (EC) is helping change the world one retrofit project at a time. We are an Energy-as- a-Service (EaaS) company that develops, invests, and manages various energy and net-zero projects in the built environment across Canada. We serve clients in the multi-residential, commercial, and industrial sectors to bring the financial resources and technical expertise needed to deliver energy and net-zero projects in their buildings.

We are looking for a senior professional who wants to be an owner-employee and will thrive in a dynamic leadership role in Toronto that is integral to the organization’s success. This means you’ll wear multiple hats while delivering results. If you’re looking for a rewarding yet challenging growth opportunity, then this is the role for you.

Opportunity

As the Sr. Manager / Manager at the Office of the CEO you will play a pivotal role as the right hand to the CEO, driving cross-functional initiatives, researching and planning strategic activities, and improving operational efficiency by ensuring alignment across teams. You will help prioritize projects, support strategic planning, and improve decision-making processes, especially as EC quickly scales across Canada and into new international markets.

The career pathway is significant - continue growing in a staff role or move into a line function, with the goal of leading a division, a country, or a subsidiary business in the next 5 to 10 years.

  • Prepare and facilitate cross-functional planning sessions
  • Monitor progress on strategic initiatives, drive accountability, and identify key risk and opportunities

Executive Communications & Decision Support

  • Prepare internal and external presentations, investor updates, and board materials
  • Synthesize information, perform financial, legal, operational, people, impact, and other analysis, and make recommendations for key business decisions
  •  Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ensure the CEO is prepared for key meetings and decisions and that resulting actions and commitments are followed through

CEO Office Coordination & Support

  • Manage and coordinate the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and priorities
  • Triage incoming requests and information requiring CEO attention and determine appropriate follow-up
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, and supporting information
  •  Track action items, commitments, and follow-ups arising from CEO meetings
  • Coordinate logistics for key internal and external meetings, including travel planning

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the Office of the CEO and the organization, liaising with HR, finance and other teams as needed
  • Support onboarding and scheduling for senior stakeholders visiting EC (investors, partners, advisors, board members)
  • Maintain an organized digital and physical environment (files, records, templates, and basic office logistics)
  • Plan and organize team retreats and support HR activities and employee engagement initiatives as needed

Digital Tools, Automation & AI

  • Use and champion modern productivity tools (calendar, task management, document collaboration, CRM, etc.) to streamline executive workflows
  • Adopt new software, automation, and AI tools introduced to scale the Office of the CEO’s capacity
  • Provide feedback on the tool stack, helping the leadership team continuously improve processes and automation
  • Act as a business-side integrator across the organization, working with the CEO, departments, and IT to optimize systems, information, decision-making and workflows
