Human Resources Coordinator - Competition #2026-788

Position Status: Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

About EFW: EFW Radiology owns and operates 11 community-based clinics providing Diagnostic Imaging, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Pain Management services.

The Role

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across a broad range of HR functions, including HR systems, onboarding, employee engagement, training coordination, record management, and leave administration. Working closely with employees, leaders, and the HR team, the role helps ensure efficient HR operations, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Reporting to: This position directly reports to the Manager of Human Resources.

Role Overview

HR Operations, Employee Programs, and Administration

Builds and maintains strong working relationships with employees, leaders, team members, and other departments across the organization.
Acts as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR programs, policies, and processes.
Coordinates employee engagement, recognition, and appreciation programs, including events, communications, nominations, awards administration, and related activities.
Administers shared HR inboxes and performs a variety of HR administrative duties to support efficient service delivery.
Provides administrative support and backup coverage to HR team members as required.
Maintains HR documentation such as procedures, forms, templates, job descriptions, and related documentation to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
Develops and maintains employee-facing communications, guides, presentations, resources, and other materials that support HR programs and initiatives.
Assists with the administration of compensation programs and processes, including compensation employee documentation, and administrative support.
Identifies opportunities to improve administrative processes, employee experience, communication effectiveness, and HR service delivery, and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

Employee Wellness, Accommodations, and Leave Administration

Coordinates administrative processes related to disability claims, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodation requests.
Acts as an initial HR contact for employees, leaders, insurers, and third-party providers. regarding leave and accommodation processes, forms, and required documentation.
Coordinates the administration of disability and leave cases, including submitting documentation to carriers and facilitating communication between carrier, employees and leaders.
Maintains accurate and confidential case files, employee records, and documentation related to leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work planning.
Assists with gathering information and monitoring accommodation plans to support ongoing follow-up and operational requirements.
Coordinates other types of leaves of absence and ensures appropriate approvals, documentation and tracking are maintained.
Supports organizational health and safety programs and reporting as required.

HR Systems and Technology

Administer and support HR technology applications, including the Learning Management System (LMS), PolicyTech, and other HR platforms.
Maintain system content, user access, workflows, configurations, and records to support business requirements.
Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with vendors, Information Technology, and internal stakeholders as required.
Maintain user guides, job aids, reference materials, and training resources to support the effective use of HR systems.
Support to leaders and employees with HR technology platforms and processes.
Support employee learning and development initiatives through the administration and coordination of training programs, resources, and educational activities.
Monitor learning participation, completion rates, and training records and prepare related reports as required Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

You Have The Following

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management; or a business-related field is required.
1+ year HR experience, providing support across multiple HR functions.
Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards Code and human resources principles and practices.
High level of integrity with the ability to keep confidential information secure.
Ability to build strong relationships, coach/consult, and mediate conflict.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as member of the team.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deal with confidential information.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to identify problem areas proactively.
Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Desire to continually upgrade skills, knowledge, and abilities in the Human Resource profession.
Professional attitude in all interactions with employees, supervisors, managers, and directors.
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.

Working Conditions

Able to spend prolonged periods at a desk utilizing a computer and monitor and performing other close visual work as required (sitting, handling, touching, finger dexterity).
This position is based at our Head Office located in Seton (Calgary SE) but requires the ability to travel to any EFW location and provide own transportation as required.
