About the Role
The Network Analyst II plays a key role in supporting the provincial network that securely connects health sector partners, facilities and agencies across Saskatchewan. Working as part of a skilled team of network professionals, you will help maintain and enhance enterprise-class networking infrastructure that supports critical health care services province-wide. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies while contributing to the reliable delivery of digital health services for organizations such as the Saskatchewan Health Authority, 3sHealth, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and the Ministry of Health.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager, Core Networking, you will:
- Support and troubleshoot network performance, availability and connectivity issues across enterprise network environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain LAN, WAN and data centre network equipment.
- Participate in network infrastructure projects, including the design, implementation and enhancement of network solutions.
- Perform operating system and firmware upgrades on networking equipment while following established change management practices.
- Create, maintain and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, support procedures and configuration standards.
- Monitor and manage network services to ensure reliable, secure and high-performing connectivity for health sector partners.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to support team development and operational excellence.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Network Analyst or in a similar role within an integrated support environment.
- Experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including Catalyst and Nexus switches, ASA/NGFW firewalls, and ISR/ASR routers.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching concepts, including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VPN technologies and network security protocols.
- Experience supporting WAN technologies, enterprise monitoring tools and ITIL-based service management processes.
- Cisco certifications, enterprise wireless experience, F5 or Citrix load balancer experience, and knowledge of the Saskatchewan health IT environment would be considered assets.
- Must be available to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and possess a valid driver's licence for occasional travel requirements.
