Original job description

About eHealth and our Culture

eHealth Saskatchewan is at the heart of how health care works across the province – powering the digital systems that connect care teams, patients and information. With over 800 employees in 20 communities, we provide IT support and services in 433 locations, ensuring the right information and tools are in the right hands at the right time so care teams can focus on what matters most: patient care. We also manage Vital Statistics, health card services, and MySaskHealthRecord, one of Canada’s leading tools for giving people secure online access to their health information.

At eHealth, how we work matters just as much as what we deliver. Our culture isn’t just something we talk about, it shapes how we make decisions, support each other and deliver results:

1. Partner for results: We prioritize teamwork and ensure decisions involve those affected
2. Serve with purpose: We act with empathy, respect and care in every interaction to deliver better outcomes
3. Own our actions: We own our success and failures, act with honesty, and uphold trust
4. Innovate with intent: We challenge the status quo and turn ideas into action

Join us in strengthening Saskatchewan’s health system through meaningful, people-centered digital innovation.

About the Role

The Network Analyst II plays a key role in supporting the provincial network that securely connects health sector partners, facilities and agencies across Saskatchewan. Working as part of a skilled team of network professionals, you will help maintain and enhance enterprise-class networking infrastructure that supports critical health care services province-wide. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies while contributing to the reliable delivery of digital health services for organizations such as the Saskatchewan Health Authority, 3sHealth, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and the Ministry of Health.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Manager, Core Networking, you will:

Support and troubleshoot network performance, availability and connectivity issues across enterprise network environments.
Install, configure, upgrade and maintain LAN, WAN and data centre network equipment.
Participate in network infrastructure projects, including the design, implementation and enhancement of network solutions.
Perform operating system and firmware upgrades on networking equipment while following established change management practices.
Create, maintain and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, support procedures and configuration standards.
Monitor and manage network services to ensure reliable, secure and high-performing connectivity for health sector partners.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to support team development and operational excellence.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum three years of experience as a Network Analyst or in a similar role within an integrated support environment.
Experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including Catalyst and Nexus switches, ASA/NGFW firewalls, and ISR/ASR routers.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching concepts, including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VPN technologies and network security protocols.
Experience supporting WAN technologies, enterprise monitoring tools and ITIL-based service management processes.
Cisco certifications, enterprise wireless experience, F5 or Citrix load balancer experience, and knowledge of the Saskatchewan health IT environment would be considered assets.
Must be available to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and possess a valid driver's licence for occasional travel requirements.

Competencies

Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively through written documentation, reports, diagrams, procedures and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues by applying technical expertise and sound judgment.
Team/Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver reliable services, support clients and build productive working relationships.
Organizational: Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Analytical: Ability to assess technical information, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical recommendations to improve network performance and reliability.
Technical: Ability to support, maintain and enhance enterprise networking infrastructure while ensuring security, availability and performance requirements are met.
