Original job description

About eHealth and our Culture

eHealth Saskatchewan is at the heart of how health care works across the province – powering the digital systems that connect care teams, patients and information. With over 800 employees in 20 communities, we provide IT support and services in 433 locations, ensuring the right information and tools are in the right hands at the right time so care teams can focus on what matters most: patient care. We also manage Vital Statistics, health card services, and MySaskHealthRecord, one of Canada’s leading tools for giving people secure online access to their health information.

At eHealth, how we work matters just as much as what we deliver. Our culture isn’t just something we talk about, it shapes how we make decisions, support each other and deliver results:

1. Partner for results: We prioritize teamwork and ensure decisions involve those affected
2. Serve with purpose: We act with empathy, respect and care in every interaction to deliver better outcomes
3. Own our actions: We own our success and failures, act with honesty, and uphold trust
4. Innovate with intent: We challenge the status quo and turn ideas into action

Join us in strengthening Saskatchewan’s health system through meaningful, people-centered digital innovation.

About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a trusted advisor and senior subject matter expert supporting a portfolio of specialized clinical applications used across Saskatchewan's surgical and procedural care environments. Working closely with clinicians, operational leaders, vendors, technical teams, and provincial stakeholders, this role supports, enhances, and optimizes critical healthcare technologies, including endoscopy, perioperative, orthopedic, prosthetic, patient monitoring, and surgical technology solutions. The successful candidate leads requirements analysis, business process improvement, solution planning, system enhancements, and operational support activities, ensuring clinical technologies remain reliable, effective, and aligned with evolving healthcare needs. This position plays a key role in advancing digital health initiatives that directly support patient care, surgical services, and the ongoing evolution of healthcare technology across the province.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Manager, Surgical Care Services, you will:

Lead and support business process improvement and organizational change initiatives.
Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases that identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
Partner with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Facilitate consensus among project teams, clients, and stakeholders regarding solution design and implementation.
Evaluate current, emerging, and industry-leading services and technologies to support continuous improvement.
Develop clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including business, user, and system requirements.
Provide guidance throughout solution design, testing, implementation, and adoption activities while considering impacts to enterprise architecture and business operations.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within an integrated healthcare support environment.
Experience leading business process improvement initiatives, requirements gathering, and solution design activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis methodologies, project management frameworks, and business process improvement practices.
Experience developing business cases, conducting feasibility assessments, and facilitating stakeholder engagement.
IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, project management certification, or experience within a health care and/or integrated IT environment would be considered an asset.

Competencies

Communication: Ability to communicate complex business and technical information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholder groups through written documentation, presentations, facilitation sessions, and verbal communication.
Leadership: Ability to lead business analysis activities, facilitate consensus among stakeholders, influence positive change, and support successful project and organizational outcomes.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex business challenges, identify root causes, evaluate options, and develop practical solutions that align with business objectives and organizational priorities.
Interpersonal: Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to support successful solution delivery.
Teamwork/Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Organizational: Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize competing activities, manage stakeholder expectations, and consistently deliver high-quality work within established timelines.
Analytical: Ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize business, technical, and operational information to support decision-making, process improvement, and solution development.
Technical: Ability to analyze business requirements, support solution design, develop and execute testing approaches, assess the impact of proposed system and process changes, and apply knowledge of emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to support business objectives.
