Financial Controller

Role Description The Financial Controller role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chatham-Kent, ON. This role oversees day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounting activities, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Controller will develop and maintain internal controls, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide analytical insights to leadership to support decision-making. Responsibilities also include coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and improving financial processes and systems to support the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including experience with general ledger management and budgeting.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with a track record of producing accurate and timely reports.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with financial software and ERP systems, and strong Excel skills.
• Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional designation (CPA or equivalent) is an asset.
• Experience in controlling, auditing, or corporate finance, preferably within investment, holding, or multi-entity environments.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
