Your Role:
We have two open positions for a Sales Professional - Pet Health in Greater Toronto Area: one for East region, one for West region.
As a Sales Professional, you will manage an assigned territory and create demand for Elanco’s animal health portfolio by demonstrating the value of our products to veterinary customers. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, you will develop customer partnerships, execute territory plans and deliver sales results while expanding product adoption and market share.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze territory data and collaborate with the District Sales Manager and Key Account Manager to develop account plans, sales strategies and sales cycle tactics that increase product penetration and sales.
- Generate demand with veterinarians, animal health technicians, veterinary support staff and veterinary business managers through customer calls, virtual and in-clinic meetings, training sessions, seminars and other value-added activities.
- Build trusted customer partnerships by understanding business needs, providing relevant product information and supporting customers in growing their businesses.
- Execute marketing programs, customer initiatives, trade shows and company meetings while meeting Sales Force Excellence metrics and representing Elanco professionally.
- Manage territory forecasts, budgets, promotional expenses and customer information in the customer relationship management system, including timely call reporting, territory intelligence and reporting of suspected adverse events to the Pharmacovigilance team.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- University degree, preferably in Science or Business; an Animal Health Technician diploma or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- At least two years of sales experience, at least one year of Elanco experience, or experience in the animal health industry.
- Strong business acumen, results orientation and the ability to influence customers while working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with a valid driver’s licence in the province where the role is located.

- Significant field time is expected, typically four days per week in the assigned territory, with overnight travel as required.

Elanco Benefits and Perks:
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $100,000. The actual base salary offered may vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees. The compensation package is subject to change, and the actual base salary could be higher or lower than the range described above.
