Original job description

Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

At EA, we believe games are powerful because they bring together multiple ways people engage: play, watch, create, and connect. And increasingly, the biggest entertainment platforms aren't just places to consume content - they're places where communities build.

Creator-made content is already a proven part of EA's history - from community creation tools in Battlefield to The Gallery in The Sims 4. We believe new creative technologies and tools will expand how players engage with and contribute to our experiences, supported by thoughtful product design, safety systems, and global reach. Our focus is on enabling more players to participate in creative expression by making creation easier, safer, and more rewarding.

You will join a focused, high-ownership team working directly alongside the Head of Finance. You will gain end-to-end visibility across capital planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial controls - an interconnected perspective rarely accessible in larger organizations.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week, onsite the office in Redwood City, California, Los Angeles, California, or Vancouver, Canada.

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the team's integrated financial model, including scenario analysis and version-to-version reconciliation.

  • Own the monthly forecast cycle: budget-versus-actual analysis, variance commentary, and headcount and compensation modeling.

  • Produce and maintain a rolling short-term cash forecast.

  • Prepare the team's management reporting package and its reporting to corporate finance.

  • Maintain the commitment and contract register, and support monthly reconciliation of intercompany and shared-service costs.

  • Prepare payment requests for approval, as part of a two-person financial control.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on close execution, payroll and treasury operations.

  • Identify and build opportunities to automate recurring analysis and reporting using modern AI tooling to deliver insights that drive grounded, cost-aware decision-making.

  • Support the Head of Finance and leadership peers on strategic and financial analysis as the team scales and priorities evolve.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, or a related analytical discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining complex financial models used for cross-functional decision-making.

  • Proven ability to manage recurring financial cycles, deliver to established deadlines, and communicate clear variance insights.

  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across operations, accounting, and leadership teams.

  • Enthusiasm for designing new financial processes in an evolving team environment.

  • Keen interest in evaluating and adopting emerging AI and automation tools to enhance analytical efficiency and data workflows.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent practical experience

We are a diverse, goal-driven team that offers real influence and autonomy to every member. Our ideal candidate is curious, open-minded, and thrilled by exploring fresh concepts and tailoring them for game development. If you are a passionate, creative, and communicative individual who is deeply invested in innovating across new domains of gaming, we want you on our team.
