Original job description

We're hiring! At Elephant & Castle, we serve up the best bits of a classic British pub: hearty food, proper pours, lively conversation, and a warm welcome that feels like home. Whether it’s match day madness, a weekday business lunch, or “just one more” with friends, great hospitality and good times are always on the menu.

Football is in our DNA. From the Premier League and Champions League to international tournaments, if there’s a match on, chances are it’s on our screens. Our pubs are gathering places for passionate fans, big reactions, and unforgettable moments, the kind you just can’t recreate at home.

What truly sets Elephant & Castle apart is our people. Our teams are made up of genuine, hardworking, hospitality-loving humans who bring personality, energy, and teamwork to every shift. From pouring pints and serving plates to prepping in the kitchen, firing up the grill, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, everyone plays their part.

We’re proud to offer hands-on training, real opportunities to grow, and a culture built on camaraderie, respect, and having a laugh along the way. If you’re passionate about hospitality, thrive in a team environment, and don’t mind a little noise on match day, you’ll fit right in.

Your Role

We’re looking for a Server who is passionate about creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest. You’ll be the face of the restaurant, delivering friendly, attentive service and making sure every visit feels special. Why You’ll Love Working With Us

Competitive pay that rewards your hard work
Employee dining discount at participating Recipe brands
Flexible scheduling so you can balance work and life
Growth and development opportunities to build your skills within the restaurant
Career advancement with a company that owns some of Canada’s most iconic restaurant brands
A fun, energetic team environment where every shift is dynamic and engaging

What You’ll Do

Provide attentive and friendly service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued throughout their dining experience.
Take orders accurately and make recommendations from the menu, showcasing your knowledge of our offerings.

Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with your teammates, maintaining open communication during busy shifts to ensure seamless service.
Keep the dining area clean and organized, supporting a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
Handle guest payments and manage the cash drawer with accuracy and attention to detail.
Stay up-to-date with menu items and specials, using your expertise to enhance the guest experience.

What You Bring

3+ years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar.

A guest-focused mindset and passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Calm under pressure with quick problem-solving skills.
A genuine love for hospitality and connecting with people.
