Junior Trainer / Enablement Specialist
Location: Calgary, AB | Type: Contract (6 months) | Setup: Hybrid | Experience: Junior / early-career | Pay: Up to $45/hr
About the Role
This role is built to learn by watching. You'll shadow a senior trainer through a Microsoft 365 Copilot enablement program, then start running follow-on sessions, office hours, and drop-in support on your own.
The client is an AI-first consulting firm that helps energy and industrial companies modernize their data and put AI into everyday use. This role sits on their change management team, which means you'll also own the adoption and attendance data that shows whether the program is landing.
It's a strong first or second job for someone who wants to build a career in AI enablement. You don't need to be an expert yet. You do need to absorb fast and be the person who shows up prepared.
What You'll Do
- Shadow senior delivery, then take over follow-on training sessions solo
- Host office hours and drop-in support, where sessions are small, applied, and rarely go to script
- Help end users at every comfort level, including the ones who are skeptical about the whole thing
- Pull adoption and usage data, compile attendance records, and run basic gap analysis in Excel
- Step in as backup facilitator when the senior trainer isn't available
- Keep the records clean and the logistics tight
Qualifications
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, plus the appetite to go deeper quickly
- Highly coachable, with a habit of learning by observing and then trying it yourself
- Comfort thinking on your feet in small, unscripted settings (polished stage presence matters less here)
- Excel comfort and enough data literacy to compile usage numbers and spot gaps
- Patience and a real customer-service instinct with end users
- Dependability. This one is a core requirement, not a bonus
Nice to Have
- Some awareness of or interest in change management as a discipline
