Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting an interim, full-time Education Assistant - Campus EIPS Education Assistant (Diverse Learner Pathway Support) working 35 hours per week. This position directly supports students, including diverse learners, in their transition to life beyond high school. Key responsibilities include supporting students in school-based worksites, community worksites, and post-secondary settings to build independence, workplace skills, and community connections. Travel between various school sites, community workplaces, and post-secondary settings across the division is required (mileage compensated).

Duties & Responsibilities
- Pathway & Worksite support: Support students on-site at school-based worksites, community placements, and post-secondary environments, assisting with task completion, vocational skills, and social integration.
- Technology Support: Assist students with various technology platforms, adaptive software, and digital communication tools to support their learning and transition goals.
- Student Safety & Well-being: Monitor student progress, manage minor site-based concerns or injury procedures, and ensure occupational health and safety standards are followed at worksites.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, schools, community hosts, and others to foster student success.
- Flexible daily scheduling may occasionally be required to match student placement hours.
Qualifications
- Educational Assistant Certificate, Human Services Diploma, or equivalent education/experience supporting diverse learners.
- Experience and comfort working with various technology platforms and assistive devices is considered a strong asset.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable personal vehicle for required site travel.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety and off campus education is helpful.
