Position Overview
Elton Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Administrator to support manufacturing operations.
This is an office-based position focused on operational administration, transaction reconciliation, process controls, and reporting.
The successful candidate will act as a central point of accountability for reconciling inbound and outbound material movements, monitoring external supplier transactions and maintaining accurate operational records.
Working closely with production, purchasing, scheduling, and logistics, this individual will play an important role in improving operational visibility, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate information for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Controls & Reconciliation
- Monitor and reconcile inbound and outbound inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts.
- Reconcile materials transferred to external suppliers against quantities received and outstanding balances.
- Investigate discrepancies between ERP records, shipping documentation, purchase orders, and physical inventory movements.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moving through external manufacturing processes.
- Ensure transactions are properly documented, recorded, and reconciled.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports covering shipments, receipts, outstanding supplier transactions, and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized operational documentation and support accurate ERP data.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, scheduling, and shipping departments to resolve outstanding transactions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing administration, operations coordination, inventory control, or supply chain administration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
- Experience working with ERP or manufacturing management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile transactions, investigate discrepancies, and prepare accurate operational reports.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field is required
- Experience supporting operational KPIs, reporting processes, or employee incentive administration is an asset.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a proactive, organized professional who takes ownership of accuracy and accountability.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with operational data, challenging discrepancies, improving administrative processes, and providing management with reliable information.
- This is an office-based administrative and operational control position, not a warehouse shipping or receiving position. Occasional visits to the production floor may be required to verify information and resolve discrepancies.
