Ember Resources Inc. is Canada's largest producer of coalbed methane (CBM), with over 200 million cubic feet per day of natural gas production from coals. Located in Calgary, AB, we have a dominant land position in Alberta's Horseshoe Canyon coal trend and have consolidated a significant amount of CBM assets in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. We have a passionate team that thrives on collaboration and is committed to building and sustaining our natural gas assets for generations to come.

Ember is looking for a permanent Coil Tubing Assistant to join our field operations team in Central Alberta, who can operate in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role supports our Coil Tubing operations in safe and efficient execution of our shallow coil tubing and well intervention operations on company-owned assets. The ideal candidate is a hardworking team player with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and strong commitment to safety. This role provides for an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the oil and gas industry through hands-on training and advancement opportunities.

Duties include:

Assist with the rig-up and rig-down of coil tubing equipment and support units.
Support shallow coil tubing and well intervention operations in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Preform routine well maintenance activities on company-operated wells including but not limited to well servicing, inspections, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.
Perform equipment inspections, maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping.
Safely load, unload, secure and transport equipment and materials.
Operate hand and power tools as required.
Maintain equipment readiness and assist with preventative maintenance programs.
Participate in pre-job meetings, hazard assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Complete all required field documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards, policies and procedures.
Promote a positive safety culture and maintain professional working relationships with team members and other operational groups.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement required, Class 1 an asset.
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Valid H2S Alive and First Aid
Experience in shallow coil tubing, pressure pumping, well servicing, production operations, or other oilfield service activities.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs (23kg) on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
