Technical Business Analyst

emergiTEL is hiring a Technical Business Analyst for our client in the Financial Services industry. This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to support a banking pricing application, manage business requirements, and coordinate quarterly change requests and vendor activities.

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Experience: 6–9 years

Contract Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential extension

Work Model: Hybrid, potentially 2 days per week in the office

Hourly Rate: $50–$60/hour, negotiable for exceptional candidates

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the Price Connect application. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, preparing BRDs/DRSs, coordinating quarterly change requests, and acting as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the third-party vendor.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs/DRSs).
• Coordinate quarterly change requests from intake through development and testing.
• Manage communication between business stakeholders, vendors, development, QA, and TDM teams.
• Coordinate business testing and UAT activities.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and outstanding issues.
• Provide occasional support for high-priority production issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• 6–9 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Strong banking or financial services experience is mandatory.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ALM.
• Experience coordinating change requests, testing, and third-party vendors.
• Interest or experience in AI initiatives is an asset.

• Strong understanding of banking terminology and processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Interview Process

One 45-minute interview with the hiring manager, with a potential additional round if required.
