About the role.

The Channel Marketing Manager serves as a key execution partner across Sales, Innovation, Marketing Operations, Insights, and other cross-functional teams to achieve portfolio and business growth objectives. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through portfolio optimization, category leadership, business reporting, and customer-focused innovation initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strategic marketing expertise, strong commercial acumen, and project leadership capabilities to translate consumer and customer insights into actionable growth opportunities that strengthen McCain’s position with chain restaurant partners.

What you’ll be doing.

Lead cross-functional teams to execute co-development innovation initiatives, including chain new product development, limited-time offers, menu innovation, product renovations, specification changes, packaging updates, and commercialization activities.
Partner with Insights, Innovation, and the Go to Market Hub to identify growth opportunities and translate market, customer, and consumer insights into compelling business strategies.
Drive portfolio optimization initiatives that improve profitability, SKU performance, product mix, and overall portfolio health.
Develop and maintain portfolio performance reporting, lifecycle reviews, and business analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Support annual operating planning activities by identifying growth initiatives, innovation opportunities, resource requirements, and budget needs.
Champion customer and consumer needs while ensuring alignment across the entire value chain to support commercial objectives.
Lead, coach, and develop direct and indirect team members while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to balance supply and demand while improving business performance.
Analyze customer performance drivers and recommend actions that positively impact revenue, profitability, and annual operating plan objectives.
Influence stakeholders through compelling presentations, storytelling, and recommendations based on insights, financial analysis, and business performance.

What you’ll need to be successful.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
5+ years of marketing or brand management experience within the food Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with ownership of a significant brand or portfolio.
Previous experience managing P&Ls, budgets, portfolio performance, and commercial initiatives.
Demonstrated success leading innovation and product development projects from ideation through commercialization.
Strong understanding of foodservice marketing principles and experience supporting chain restaurant customers.
Proven ability to leverage market research, syndicated data, and consumer insights to develop strategic recommendations.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Experience using tools such as Circana CREST, Datassential, Technomic, or similar industry data sources.
Excellent project management skills with knowledge of Stage-Gate processes and cross-functional project leadership.
Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex, and evolving business environments.
Must be eligible and able to travel to the United States as required to support customer engagements, business meetings, innovation initiatives, and chain account activities.

About the team.

This role reports to the Director, QSR and is part of McCain’s North America Foodservice QSR Channel team. The team is responsible for driving growth with strategic quick service restaurant customers across the United States, partnering closely with Sales, Innovation, Insights, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to develop customer-focused solutions and category growth strategies. As a key member of the QSR organization, this role leads cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovation, optimize portfolio performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and execute initiatives that drive profitable growth for both McCain and our chain customers.

Compensation Package: $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
