About the role.

Ever wondered who's behind the scenes making a global virtual event look effortless? That's this role. The Production Specialist is our in-house production lead for enterprise virtual events and digital content. From live global town halls to editing a punchy internal video or launching a new podcast episode. Based in Toronto, you'll own platform setup, live production, presenter coordination, audience engagement tools, and real-time troubleshooting to deliver seamless, high-quality virtual experiences. You'll also lend your creative and technical skills to the wider Brand and Communications team, producing video, podcast, and design content for over 20,000 McCainers.

What makes this role exciting: a front-row seat to McCain's biggest global moments, real creative variety across live production, video, podcasts, and design, and the room to bring new platforms and AI-driven efficiencies to a global communications team.

What you’ll be doing.

Enterprise event production

Serve as the technical producer for enterprise-wide meetings and events, including multi-function town halls delivered via Microsoft Teams.
Own platform setup and configuration for each event, including Teams Town Hall/Live Events settings, layouts, and access permissions.
Run live production during events - managing scene/screen switching, audio and video quality, and smooth transitions between presenters and segments.
Coordinate presenters and stakeholders across multiple business functions, including pre-event briefings, technical rehearsals, and run-of-show planning.
Configure and manage audience engagement tools such as polls, live Q&A, chat moderation, and reactions to drive participation.
Troubleshoot technical issues in real time during live events to minimize disruption and maintain a seamless attendee experience.
Continuously refine event production standards and run-of-show documentation to raise the quality and consistency of enterprise-wide virtual experiences.

Supporting production & communications

Lead full-suite video and content production for internal communications, including filming, editing, animation, and post-production.
Produce and maintain podcast content, applying and evolving best practices for podcast production.
Manage and maintain internal distribution lists to ensure accurate, timely delivery of communications to the right audiences.
Own end-to-end post-event follow-up - deploying surveys, distributing recap content, and managing follow-up distribution - and act as a training partner where applicable to help teams adopt communications tools and processes.
Apply data analytics and insights to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and events, and recommend improvements.
Identify and implement communications automation and AI opportunities to improve efficiency and content quality.
Create animations and motion graphics to support events.
Review and refine design assets to ensure consistency with McCain brand standards.

What you’ll need to be successful.

3-5 years of experience in live event production, broadcast/AV production, or internal communications.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Media Production, Broadcast/AV, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a technical producer for live virtual or hybrid events, ideally using Microsoft Teams Town Hall/Live Events (or comparable enterprise platforms).
Working knowledge of run-of-show planning, presenter coordination, and live rehearsal management for multi-function, enterprise-wide events.
Experience configuring and moderating audience engagement tools (polls, live Q&A, chat) in a live event setting.
Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, and platform issues calmly and quickly under live event pressure.
Strong video production and editing skills (filming, editing, animation/motion graphics).
Experience producing podcast content, including planning, recording, and editing.
Experience with distribution list management and audience segmentation for internal communications.
Working knowledge of data analytics tools to measure communications and event effectiveness and generate insights.
Familiarity with communications automation platforms and an interest in applying AI to communications workflows.
Experience deploying post-event surveys and supporting training or change-management activities.
Strong design sensibility, with the ability to refine and troubleshoot visual assets to meet brand standards.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent productions, live events, and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders and presenters across a global, geographically dispersed team.
Proficiency with production and creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Canva (or equivalent creative suite).

Compensation Package: $58,800.00 - $78,500.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
