Original job description

Enabled Talent is hiring on behalf of a client.

About the Role

Our client runs an AI adoption program that helps established small and medium-sized businesses find practical ways to use AI and improve their operations.

We are looking for an energetic, well-connected and proactive Account Specialist to help grow the program’s client pipeline. You will work closely with the Sales Lead to find prospective businesses, build interest, run follow-ups, convert opportunities and support a smooth transition into the program.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys meeting business owners, attending events, building relationships and making calls. We want someone who takes ownership, works well with a team and stays engaged until an opportunity is converted.

What You’ll Do

Identify and prospect businesses that fit the program’s target customer profile
Generate new opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn, email campaigns, referrals, networking and community outreach
Attend business events, conferences, association meetings and networking sessions across Brampton, Mississauga and the GTA
Build relationships with business owners, industry associations, chambers, community organizations and ecosystem partners
Use your network to connect with relevant decision-makers
Hold initial conversations to understand prospect needs and fit, and work with the Sales Lead to move opportunities forward
Follow up consistently and keep opportunities moving
Keep lead, conversation and follow-up records accurate and current in the CRM
Support a smooth handover to the delivery team once a company joins, and flag when Sales should re-engage

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher (including MBA) in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years in B2B sales, account management, partnerships, lead generation or a related client-facing role
Based in Brampton or Mississauga, with strong knowledge of the local business community
Proven track record in prospecting, building a pipeline and converting prospects into clients
An existing network of business owners, SMBs, decision-makers or business associations in Brampton, Mississauga and the GTA (strongly preferred)
Experience working with industry associations, chambers and ecosystem partners (preferred)
Comfortable with cold calling, outbound prospecting, networking and representing an organization at events
Experience with Zoho or other CRM systems and current digital prospecting tools
Strong communication skills and disciplined follow-up
A self-starter who creates opportunities instead of waiting for leads
Comfortable working toward clear targets and being accountable for results
Strong interest in AI and a willingness to learn; prior AI experience is an asset

How Success Is Measured

Qualified discovery meetings and opportunities generated
Pipeline quality and steady progression of opportunities
Consistent and effective follow-ups
Referral relationships and community channels built
Companies converted into program participants
Quality of handovers and accuracy of pipeline information

Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus at least five years in B2B sales, account management, partnerships, lead generation, or a related client-facing role.
