Full Stack Developer
Location: Toronto, ON – Minimum 2 days onsite per week
Contract: Long Contract

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a financial technology team supporting transactional and financial systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across front-end and back-end development, microservices, REST APIs, messaging platforms, databases, and modern DevOps practices.
Experience within banking, financial services, payments, or other transaction-processing environments is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications.
- Develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
- Build scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot and/or Python/FastAPI.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs within microservices-based architectures.
- Work with relational databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL as well as NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and ELK.
- Develop and integrate messaging solutions using Kafka, Solace, MQ, or similar platforms.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
- Work with infrastructure automation technologies such as Ansible and Helm charts.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support.
- Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of reliable transactional and financial applications.
Required Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or Software Engineer.
- Strong front-end development experience with Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
- Strong backend development experience with:
- Java/Spring Boot, or
- Python/FastAPI
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and/or ELK.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Solace, MQ, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Helm.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical assignments.
- Experience developing and supporting transactional or financial systems.
