Fleet Manager

Location: Montreal / Boucherville, QC

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

About The Role

ENERCON is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of its Canadian vehicle fleet. This role is responsible for fleet operations, regulatory compliance, safety programs, vehicle acquisitions, fleet technology, vendor management, and employee support. The Fleet Manager works closely with drivers, operational leaders, suppliers, insurance providers, rental companies, dealerships, and regulatory authorities to ensure fleet performance, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Operations

Manage the full lifecycle of fleet assets, including vehicle purchasing, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
Oversee vehicle assignments, pool vehicles, rental vehicles, and fleet inventory.
Ensure vehicle availability and optimal utilization across the organization.
Coordinate GPS installations and fleet technology solutions.

Compliance & Administration

Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal transportation regulations.
Manage vehicle registrations, insurance renewals, ELD requirements, annual inspections, CVOR/CTQ reporting, and driver documentation.
Monitor driver eligibility, annual driver abstracts, kilometre reporting, taxable benefit requirements, and compliance with fleet policies.
Maintain accurate fleet records, logbooks, vehicle assignments, and insurance eligibility requirements.
Manage fleet invoices, expense reconciliations, traffic fines, vendor payment issues, and budget controls.

Safety & Risk Management

Promote safe driving practices and support driver training initiatives.
Monitor driver behaviour through telematics and GPS reporting.
Manage accident reporting, investigations, insurance claims, and repair activities.
Support emergency fleet-related situations and driver assistance needs.

Fleet Technology & Reporting

Administer GPS and telematics platforms, including driver onboarding, access management, diagnostics, reporting, alerts, and performance monitoring.
Track key fleet metrics including fuel efficiency, asset utilization, maintenance compliance, downtime, driver behaviour, and operating costs.
Analyze fleet data and recommend improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost control.

Vendor & Contract Management

Manage relationships with dealerships, garages, rental providers, fuel card suppliers, insurance companies, and GPS vendors.
Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate rental vehicle programs, reservations, maintenance requirements, and vehicle availability to support operational needs.

Qualifications

College diploma (DEC) or equivalent education in transportation, logistics, administration, business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, or asset management.
Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, vehicle regulations, and road safety requirements.
Experience managing vehicle maintenance, insurance, registrations, and driver compliance programs.
Experience using fleet management, GPS, or telematics systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with SAP, Concur, X-Flow, or similar systems is considered an asset.
Valid driver's license.
Available to travel across Canada for up to 10%.

Gérer les immatriculations des véhicules, les renouvellements d’assurance, les exigences relatives aux enregistreurs électroniques de données (ELD), les contrôles techniques annuels, les déclarations CVOR/CTQ et la documentation des conducteurs.
Vérifier l’éligibilité des conducteurs, leurs relevés annuels, les rapports de kilométrage, les exigences en matière d’avantages imposables et le respect des politiques relatives à la flotte.
Tenir à jour avec précision les registres de la flotte, les carnets de bord, les affectations des véhicules et les conditions d’éligibilité à l’assurance.
Gérer les factures de la flotte, les rapprochements de dépenses, les amendes routières, les problèmes de paiement des fournisseurs et le contrôle budgétaire.

Sécurité et gestion des risques

Promouvoir les pratiques de conduite sécuritaires et soutenir les initiatives de formation des conducteurs.
Surveiller le comportement des conducteurs grâce à la télématique et aux rapports GPS.
Gérer les déclarations d’accident, les enquêtes, les demandes d’indemnisation et les réparations.
Intervenir en cas d’urgence liée à la flotte et répondre aux besoins d’assistance des conducteurs.

Technologie et rapports de flotte

Gérer les plateformes GPS et télématiques, notamment l’intégration des conducteurs, la gestion des accès, les diagnostics, les rapports, les alertes et le suivi des performances.
Suivre les indicateurs clés de la flotte, notamment le rendement énergétique, l’utilisation des actifs, le respect des consignes d’entretien, les temps d’immobilisation, le comportement des conducteurs et les coûts d’exploitation.
Analyser les données de la flotte et proposer des améliorations pour renforcer la sécurité, l’efficacité et la maîtrise des coûts.

Gestion des fournisseurs et des contrats

Gérer les relations avec les concessionnaires, les garages, les loueurs, les fournisseurs de cartes carburant, les compagnies d’assurance et les fournisseurs de GPS.
Négocier les contrats, surveiller les performances des fournisseurs et identifier les opportunités de réduction des coûts.
Coordonner les programmes de location de véhicules, les réservations, les besoins d’entretien et la disponibilité des véhicules pour répondre aux besoins opérationnels.

Qualifications

Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) ou formation équivalente dans les domaines du transport, de la logistique, de l’administration, du commerce ou dans un domaine connexe.
Au moins 5 ans d’expérience dans la gestion de flotte, le transport, la logistique ou la gestion des actifs.
Solides connaissances en matière de conformité des flottes, de réglementation automobile et d’exigences de sécurité routière.
Expérience dans la gestion de l’entretien des véhicules, des assurances, des immatriculations et des programmes de conformité des conducteurs.
