For our Reefer team, we are looking for a dedicated Freight Forwarder Reefer Specialist who wants to be part of a strong local team with a global reach – ensuring smooth, reliable export of UK food products to destinations worldwide.
About The Role
As a Freight Forwarder Reefer Specialist, you will be part of the full journey for temperature-controlled shipments – from planning and documentation to coordination, follow-up and customer dialogue. You will help ensure that every shipment is handled with care, precision and a strong service mindset, while also contributing to commercial growth and long-term customer relationships.
Your Main Responsibilities Include
- Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end movement of reefer cargo, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and invoices, with high attention to detail.
- Work closely with customers, vendors and colleagues across the Blue Water network to keep information flowing and shipments moving.
- Monitor and track shipments, acting quickly and professionally if challenges arise.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and shipments to support quality, compliance and customer service.
- Handle time-sensitive tasks with flexibility, ownership and a solution-oriented mindset.

You will join our Reefer team, currently located in Sudbury, Suffolk. Later this autumn, we will be moving to our new office in Haverhill, Cambridge. You will become part of a dedicated team of 6 skilled colleagues who work closely together to deliver reliable solutions and outstanding service. We Are Looking For a Candidate Who
- Brings at least 3 years of experience from freight forwarding or logistics.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Takes initiative and approaches challenges with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Adapts quickly and works well under pressure.
- Is comfortable using office software and logistics systems.
