About the Role
The Housing Maintenance Senior Assistant is responsible for working with the Housing Maintenance staff for water, sewer, grounds and housing maintenance for the West Moberly First Nations (WMFN), within or under the residential unit. The Sr Assistant will support the Housing Maintenance Department for WMFN and its members. This role will provide quality control of the services provided to WMFN residential units and with services to clients.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), in-person position requiring the successful candidate to be located at the lake, in Chetwynd or Hudson Hope areas. Key Responsibilities
WMFN Vehicles, Small Engine, Equipment, and General Maintenance
Check, operate and maintain all equipment, machinery, tools, safety gear, PPE, etc, as required to perform assigned duties
Ensure vehicles, equipment, and machinery receive regular service and maintenance, and are equipped properly for service use
Evaluate homeowner and tenant maintenance requests for maintenance, repairs, renovations, and/or retrofits on residential units and advise the Housing Maintenance Supervisor of problems
Administration and Other Duties
Assist Housing Coordinator or Housing Maintenance Supervisor by ensuring a safety meeting is held each morning, or at a new worksite with new assigned tasks, take minutes and provide assistance on any task required

Your toolkit includes
Operations and maintenance of a skid steer, mini excavator, and towing trailers, etc. as trained, certified and/or licensed.
Basic carpentry, and handyman repairs, renovations, and/or retrofits of residential unit components or systems
