Full Stack Engineer

The solution supports sovereign deployment on an organization’s own infrastructure, ensuring that encryption keys never leave its control and security is never an afterthought.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Engineer role based in Langley, BC. The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications that power EnigmaKey’s communications platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end interfaces, building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating cryptographic and security features, and collaborating with product and security teams to deliver high-assurance functionality. The role also involves writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of architecture, performance, and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with experience delivering production-grade web applications.
• Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Solid Back-End Web Development skills, including building APIs, working with databases, and optimizing server-side performance.
• Experience with secure coding practices, authentication and authorization, and familiarity with cryptographic concepts (post-quantum experience is an asset).
• Comfort working in on-site, collaborative environments, with effective communication and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Background in high-security, defense, government, or critical infrastructure software environments is beneficial.
