Original job description
We're Hiring: Sales Representative
Entratech Systems | Burlington, Ontario, Canada
Entratech Systems is growing, and we're looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representative to help expand our business across Canada.
Entratech Systems is Canada’s leader in quality custom-engineered industrial doors, including bottom rolling steel doors, vertical lift doors, and hoist-up fabric doors. These doors are most commonly used for aircraft hangars but are also used in mines, shipyards, nuclear facilities, hydro electric power stations and craneways.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys developing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working with customers and our engineering team to deliver solutions for unique technical challenges.
You don't need to be an expert in hangar doors. We're looking for someone with initiative, strong communication skills, and an interest in technical sales and business development.
What You'll Do
Develop New Business
- Identify upcoming airport, aviation, military, and industrial projects where Entratech's products may be required.
- Monitor construction tenders, procurement websites, and industry sources for new project opportunities.
- Research projects to identify owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, building suppliers, and other key decision-makers.
- Proactively contact prospective customers by phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce Entratech and develop new relationships.
- Follow up on inbound inquiries, referrals, and tender opportunities.
Build Customer Relationships
- Conduct local and regional customer visits, with travel across Canada for customer meetings, project site visits, and industry events.
- Develop relationships with airports, aviation operators, contractors, and potential installation partners.
- Understand customer requirements and help identify the right solution for each project.
- Work with our engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to develop quotations and move opportunities forward.
Manage the Sales Process
- Track leads, contacts, quotations, and opportunities in our CRM.
- Maintain consistent follow-up so promising opportunities don't get lost during long construction sales cycles.
- Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to become involved early in the design, bidding, and procurement process.
- Help build and maintain a strong pipeline of future projects across Canada.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in someone who is:
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of developing new business.
- Organized and disciplined about tracking opportunities and following up.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships with customers and industry professionals.
- Curious and comfortable researching projects, companies, and decision-makers.
- Technically minded and able to learn specialized products and understand customer requirements.
- Comfortable using email, telephone, LinkedIn, and CRM software for business development.
- Willing to travel locally and regionally, with travel across Canada as required.
- In possession of a valid driver's license.
Experience in technical sales, construction, manufacturing, mechanical systems, steel buildings, or industrial products is an asset. Familiarity with CRM software and construction tender platforms such as MERX or ConstructConnect is beneficial but not required.
An engineering, mechanical, construction, or related technical background would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Willingness to visit project sites and gain hands-on exposure to our products and installation processes is valued. Previous installation experience is not required, and performing installation work is not a responsibility of this position. However, a willingness to participate in occasional field activities to better understand our products and their applications would be considered an asset.
What Success Looks Like
Success means identifying the right projects early, connecting with the right people, and systematically developing opportunities into sales.
For example, you might discover a new aircraft hangar project through a tender platform, identify the architect and general contractor, establish contact with the project team, and work with our engineering team to position Entratech as the hangar door supplier before the project reaches the quotation stage.
You'll help develop new markets, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure opportunities are followed through from initial contact to order award.
Why Join Entratech?
- Specialized Products: Work with custom-engineered hangar door systems in a unique market.
- Variety: Every project brings different customers, technical requirements, and challenges.
- Direct Impact: Contribute to the growth of a Canadian manufacturer serving customers across the country.
- Team Collaboration: Work directly with management, engineering, and manufacturing to develop practical customer solutions.
- Opportunity to Grow: Build your technical sales and business development experience while helping expand our market.
Interested?
If you're a motivated individual who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and working with technical products, we'd like to hear from you.
