Original job description

About Enurgen

The energy transition depends on renewable assets performing at their best, and Enurgen makes sure they do. We’re a deep-tech clean tech company. Our performance software helps owners and operators of renewable portfolios get the most availability, energy, and revenue from every site. Our platform, EnurgenOS, finds performance anomalies, traces every loss to its source, and turns findings into clear action plans, so no MWh goes missing. It’s built on more than 10 years of physics-based R&D from the University of Ottawa’s SUNLAB and runs on DUET, our 3D energy model. Today we support 12+ GW of solar and BESS assets in more than 20 countries, and we’re growing fast.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a technically curious, commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to qualify opportunities and lead compelling early-stage conversations with renewable energy professionals.

You’ll be more than a meeting setter. You’ll research accounts, engage prospects, lead discovery calls and run tailored product demonstrations. You’ll use your understanding of renewable energy assets (including solar, BESS, and wind) to ask informed questions, connect customer challenges to Enurgen’s capabilities and help the sales team advance well-qualified opportunities.

You’ll work closely with sales, marketing and technical teams, bringing the right colleagues into deeper technical or commercial conversations when needed. You’ll also spend approximately 30% of your work time travelling to meet with clients and attend industry events.

What You'll Do:

Lead discovery and qualification:

Engage inbound leads and outbound prospects to understand their portfolios, roles and operational challenges.
Lead discovery conversations with asset owners, operators, developers and other stakeholders across renewable energy organizations.
Qualify opportunities based on factors such as asset and portfolio fit, business needs, current tools and workflows, decision-makers, buying process and timing.
Document discovery insights, agree on clear next steps and hand qualified opportunities to the appropriate account lead.
Build credibility with technical and commercial stakeholders by speaking their language and asking informed questions about utility-scale solar, BESS and wind assets.

Run product demonstrations:

Prepare and deliver tailored demonstrations of EnurgenOS, connecting relevant workflows and insights to each prospect’s needs.
Answer early-stage technical and product questions clearly, and involve product, engineering or deployment specialists when a deeper discussion is needed.
Follow up on demonstrations, capture feedback and coordinate next steps with the sales team.

Bring renewable energy expertise:

Understand common performance and operational concepts, including energy yield, availability, losses, monitoring and asset-level data; apply relevant BESS concepts such as state of charge, state of health and cycling.
Stay current on renewable energy market trends, customer workflows and Enurgen’s product capabilities.

Build and manage pipeline:

Research target accounts and stakeholders, and generate opportunities through personalized outreach, including calls, email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Clay.
Maintain accurate activity records, qualification notes and next steps in HubSpot.
Track and report on outreach, qualification, demonstrations, conversion rates and qualified opportunities.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine targeting, messaging and collateral using feedback from prospects.

What We're Looking For:

Technical knowledge of utility-scale solar, BESS and wind, and an ability to discuss how renewable energy assets are operated and assessed.
1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, technical sales, solutions consulting or a related customer-facing role.
Authorized to work in Canada with ability to travel to the USA
Ability to lead consultative discovery conversations, uncover customer needs and assess opportunity fit.
Confidence presenting software or technical solutions and delivering engaging demonstrations to technical and business audiences.
Ability to learn complex products quickly and explain technical concepts clearly and accurately.
Strong written and verbal communication, listening, organization and follow-through.
Comfort with proactive outreach and managing multiple prospects while maintaining a personalized approach.
Self-motivation and a track record of working toward and achieving goals.
Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar CRM is an asset.
Familiarity with Claude, Claude Design & Claude Co-work.
An engineering degree or similar technical background is an asset.

What We Offer:

Comprehensive health and dental benefits
Vacation policy with a minimum of 3 weeks’ PTO
Ongoing sales coaching
The opportunity to be an early and influential member of a growing team at the forefront of the clean energy transition
