The Transformation Analyst provides the analytical backbone of the transformation program, delivering analytical support and dashboard development for both the broader business and the transformation initiatives themselves. This role builds interactive KPI dashboards that measure business and initiative performance, surfaces insights and flags that drive action, and applies AI and analytics tools to make reporting faster, sharper, and more predictive. The role works closely with the Transformation Finance Lead, IT, workstream leads, business stakeholders, and SMEs to ensure dashboards reflect accurate, well-governed data from approved data sources.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain interactive KPI dashboards tracking both business and transformation initiative performance (financial, operational, and milestone-based).
Partner with the Transformation Finance Lead, workstream leads, and business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and underlying data sources across both the business and the transformation program.
Leverage AI and analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks within business and program data.
Build automated flagging and alerting logic that highlights at-risk KPI and business metrics, along with a recommended call to action defined according to SME rules and logic.
Support data collection, cleansing, and integration across multiple source systems spanning business and transformation reporting needs.
Prepare analytical support and visuals for business stakeholders as well as SteerCo and Board reporting.
Prototype and pilot AI-enabled tools that support the Transformation Office's operations and broader business reporting (e.g., automated reporting, natural-language dashboard querying).
Partner with IT to ensure dashboards are built on approved, well-governed data sources.
Ensure data integrity, governance, and consistent metric definitions across all business and transformation dashboards.
Continuously refine dashboards and reporting based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business and program needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or BI development roles.
Proficiency with BI/dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL.
Experience with AI/ML tools or LLM-based analytics solutions is a plus.
Prior experience in a transportation and / or environmental waste environment.
Experience building L1, L2, and L3 interactive dashboards for all levels of management and business functions

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical rigor. Able to validate data quality and challenge inputs rather than building dashboards on unverified numbers.
Skilled at translating ambiguous or conflicting stakeholder requests into clear, well-defined KPIs and metric logic.
Working knowledge of AI/ML and automation tools, with the judgment to know where they add real value versus where they add complexity without benefit.
Ability to build flagging/alerting logic that produces genuinely actionable insights, not noise or false positives that erode stakeholder trust.
Strong data governance instincts, insisting on approved, well-documented data sources rather than convenient but unreliable ones.
Comfortable partnering with IT to resolve data access, integration, and quality issues
Ability to present data-driven insights persuasively to both business and transformation stakeholders, tailoring the message to the audience.
Adaptable and proactive. Able to iterate dashboards quickly based on feedback without losing consistency in underlying metric definitions.
Comfortable operating with incomplete or evolving requirements, typical of a fast-moving transformation environment.
