The Transformation Business Process Lead drives process standardization across the enterprise in support of the transformation program. Acting as the program's process engineer, this role leads current- and future-state process mapping, applies industry best practices to simplify and standardize processes, and produces the SOP documentation needed to sustain change, keeping in mind health and safety and environmental regulations. The role also optimizes processes by leveraging standardized technology across the enterprise, partnering closely with functional leaders to align on and document business requirements so that process and technology changes remain streamlined and consistent, driving optimal productivity and performance. Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and project leads, the Business Process Lead ensures documented processes form the foundation for training material and delivery, enabling stakeholder adoption and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead current-state and future-state process mapping across transformation workstreams.
Apply process engineering, Lean, and/or Six Sigma best practices to standardize and simplify business processes.
Develop, maintain, and version-control Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation leveraging ISO principles and quality management best practices.
Partner with functional leaders to gather, validate, and align on business requirements for transformation and technology initiatives.
Identify process gaps, redundancies, and improvement opportunities across the value chain.
Support the design and implementation of new or redesigned processes across affected workstreams.
Coordinate with business stakeholders to create training documentation, job aids, and reference materials.
Plan and support training sessions and enablement activities for new processes, tools, and ways of working.
Track post-go-live adoption of new processes and support continuous improvement.
Maintain a centralized process repository/knowledge base in the Quality Management System (QMS) for the transformation program.
Ensure performance is measured through approved KPIs for process rigor and governance.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in business process improvement, process engineering, or operational excellence.
Lean/Six Sigma certification (Black Belt) strongly preferred.
ISO 9001:2015 certification preferred.
Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio).
Experience developing training content and delivering enablement sessions to functional teams.
Experience in environmental waste, transportation, and regulated environments

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong process mapping, analysis, and documentation skills. Able to distinguish symptoms from root causes and avoid standardizing a broken process.
Ability to translate functional requirements into standardized, scalable processes that hold up across the enterprise, not just within a single function.
Strong command of process engineering methodology (Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent), applied with discipline.
Solid understanding of quality management principles, including documentation standards, compliance requirements, audit readiness, and governance controls.
Ability to challenge functional leaders on the "way we've always done it" and build credible, data-backed cases for change.
Strong documentation discipline including SOPs and process maps that are precise, unambiguous, and audit-ready with controls to support sustainability and business performance.
Working knowledge of relevant business technology applications (e.g., Fleetio, Navusoft, Trux, RouteSmart) and how process design interacts with system configuration.
Strong facilitation skills to run cross-functional workshops and drive alignment among stakeholders with competing interests.
Ability to translate technical process detail into training content that lands with frontline users, not just process owners.
Change management mindset, anticipating adoption risk across functional boundaries and building it into the rollout plan rather than treating training as an afterthought.
