ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production Assistant provides hands-on support across various equipment and processes within our Converting, Extrusion, and Printing departments. This is an entry-level production role and a direct stepping stone into a General Operator position as you build your skills and experience on our floor.
YOUR SCHEDULE
4 ON 4 OFF
Work 4 days, then enjoy 4 days off - every rotation. Two day shifts followed by two night shifts, then four consecutive days off. This gives you more long weekends than a standard 5-day work week.

- Assist and support senior Converting and Press personnel as directed
- Monitor product quality and flag deviations to your supervisor
- Conduct and document inspections and testing according to quality plans
- Manage scrap material and operate the baler
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently
- Mechanical aptitude - candidates will be assessed as part of the hiring process
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to lift 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive stretching, stair and ladder climbing
- Comfortable working rotating shifts including days and nights
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working rotating shifts
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
- Competitive wages: $19–$20/hr + $2.00 Night Shift Premium
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits
- Defined contribution pension plan
- Quarterly bonus program - earn more when we hit our goals
- Training and development support
- 24/7 on-site gym and cafeteria
- Fitness membership reimbursement program
- Clear path to promotion and career growth within Emmerson Packaging
