As a Senior Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in enabling the Executive Vice President (EVP), Corporate Services, and contributing to the successful delivery of strategic and operational priorities across the Corporate Services portfolio.

From managing complex schedules and coordinating strategic priorities to preparing executive reporting and building strong stakeholder relationships, you will be at the center of key initiatives and business operations. What you’d be responsible for

Acting as a trusted partner to the EVP, providing proactive, high-quality executive support while managing sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Orchestrating complex calendars, travel arrangements, expense management, and key executive deliverables to ensure leaders remain focused on strategic priorities.
Coordinating leadership team meetings and annual planning cycles, including agenda development, materials preparation, action tracking, and seamless meeting logistics.
Leading the preparation and coordination of monthly and quarterly reporting, ensuring deliverables are accurate, polished, on time, and aligned with business priorities.
Managing high-profile events, recognition programs, town halls, site visits, and executive and Board engagements that foster connection, collaboration, and organizational success.
Serving as a key liaison between executives and internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and helping advance business objectives.
Supporting organizational effectiveness through onboarding, office moves, organizational changes, and administrative transitions.
Maintaining executive and leadership SharePoint sites, confidential records, presentations, correspondence, and other critical business documentation.
Tracking budget-related activities, coordinating reporting requirements, and supporting special projects and strategic initiatives that drive business results.
Collaborating with administrative professionals across EPCOR, sharing knowledge, supporting team development, and contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation, and service.

What’s required to be successful

A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in a senior administrative role supporting a senior level executive/director
Completion of a post-secondary program in Business Administration or a related field is strongly preferred.
Advanced technical skills in the use of various computer applications including MS Office Suite, Oracle and SharePoint as well as overall technical aptitude to navigate evolving technologies
Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks to meet or exceed assigned deadlines
Discretion, sound judgement and demonstrated ability to preserve strict confidentiality
Understanding of business protocols to initiate and implement new procedures
Aptitude to develop, mentor and guide others
Ability to contribute to an office environment focused on customer satisfaction
Ability to work under minimal supervision while demonstrating strong initiative, judgment, as well as discretion with confidential information.
Strong writing skills for research and report preparation as well as analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, decisive and resourceful skills

More Information:

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role (40 hours per week).

Additional Requirements

A requirement of working for EPCOR is that you are at least 18 years of age, successfully attained a high school diploma (GED, or equivalent level of secondary education) and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)

If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational, and/or credit) and professional reference checks is required. Some EPCOR positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.

A technical/practical assessment may be administered during the selection process and this exercise will be used as a part of the selection criterion.

Prior infractions for unsafe driving behaviours will be evaluated and considered for non-selection regardless of current demerits on file.

Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License

Ability and willingness to travel occasionally between EPCOR sites and facilities within the Edmonton area

Successful applicants must provide their own vehicles with appropriate insurance in accordance with EPCOR’s Employee Mileage Reimbursement Policy. You will be reimbursed in accordance with EPCOR’s Employee Mileage Reimbursement Policy.
