Electronics Technician – Workshop
Work location: Val-d’Or – On-site
Schedule: 5/2 or 4/3 – 40 hours per week
The Electronics Technician is responsible for assembling, programming, testing, and repairing various electronic and communication systems and equipment.
Main Responsibilities And Duties
- Assemble, repair, program, and test equipment and systems;
- Follow established priorities, work plans, and deadlines;
- Perform various tests, analyses, and corrective actions to ensure that equipment meets Epiroc’s quality requirements and established standards;
- Diagnose and identify the source of problems affecting all types of electronic equipment;
- Participate in and recommend improvement initiatives to help achieve operational objectives;
- Comply with all health and safety procedures and standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology, such as Programmable Electronics or Radio Communication Technology, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
- One to three years of experience in electronics or communication systems;
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities;
- Knowledge of the mining industry is considered an asset;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is considered an asset.
