Position: Sr. Guidewire PolicyCenter BSA

Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum 4 days onsite per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, QA professionals, and product owners to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process flows.

The ideal candidate will have practical Guidewire PolicyCenter experience and a strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.

•Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.

•Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

•Develop business process flows and supporting documentation.

•Identify gaps between existing business processes and proposed system enhancements.

•Apply functional knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter to support solution analysis and requirements clarification.

•Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

•Support functional issue analysis, testing, and validation throughout the implementation lifecycle.

•Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.

•Validate delivered functionality against business requirements.

•Maintain accurate functional and project documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

•Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

•Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.

•Proven experience in business and functional requirements gathering and analysis.

•Experience preparing functional specifications and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).

•Strong experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria.

•Experience documenting business processes and workflows.

•Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

•Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.

•Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•Guidewire certification.

•Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

•Understanding of insurance policy administration processes.

•Experience working on Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation or enhancement projects.
