As part of a growing and dynamic Commercial Syndicated Lending team, the Syndication Analyst will support the team in the management of syndicate partner relationships. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: providing product-specific advice regarding the Bankās commercial product, educating investors on the Bankās policies and procedures, and marketing the Bankās financial solutions to investors through regular ongoing contact.
In this role, the Syndication Analyst must be knowledgeable about Equitable Bankās mortgage products and processes while having a good understanding of the underwriting, risk and compliance guidelines to ensure all files meet industry and company regulatory requirements.

Main activities
Syndication Support (50%)

Responsible for document fulfillment through all parts of the loan lifecycle. Prepare and execute all loan sale documentation and provide ongoing support, both internally and externally, during the underwriting process.
Internal Liaison (40%)

Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Job complexitiesThe position requires an individual to be a self-starter and make sound underwriting and servicing recommendations as efficiently as possible. The incumbent should be prepared to always manage files of complexity and shall possess cognitive skills, professional judgement and the ability to work independently to properly assess individual transactions and rely on past experiences to assist in mitigating risk. The incumbent is required to follow corporate policies, procedures and regulatory requirements to work through files and rationalize the recommendations or decisions made. Transactions may be presented from multiple partners, each having unique complexities. As such, the incumbent must be able to draw on specific product/document knowledge to assess suitability.
Accountability
The position operates under direct management of the VP, Commercial Real Estate Credit, however, works most closely with, and takes direction from, other members of the Syndicate Lending team. The accountability of the role falls mainly within the parameters of their daily duties, managing their deal flow as assigned. The position is required to provide optimum customer service with the goal of maintaining long-standing relationships and providing support in the development of new business connections.
Physical Demands/Working Condition
Normal Office environment with no physical demands, however, there is pressure, at times, placed on the role due to the time sensitivity of each transaction and to meet production targets. Hybrid work is expected with 3 days in person depending on the level and seniority of the role.
