Original job description

At EQ3, we believe great design should last a lifetime. Our new brand platform, Design for Life, reflects our commitment to authentic modern design, exceptional quality, and furniture made to be lived with for years to come.

But EQ3 is more than a design brand - we are a performance-driven retail business built on relationships, customer experience, and entrepreneurial thinking. We are looking for Design Consultants who are passionate about sales, motivated by results, and energized by helping customers invest in better-quality products for their homes. This is an opportunity for a confident sales professional who appreciates design, thrives in a commission environment, and wants to build a successful retail career with a premium Canadian brand.

THE DETAILS:

You’ll be joining our Winnipeg team at 1485 Portage Avenue, in a full-time capacity (Monday - Sunday)

What You’ll Do

Build meaningful relationships with customers and guide them through the buying journey
Deliver a high level of customer service while driving sales performance
Help customers create thoughtful, functional spaces that reflect their lifestyle
Develop strong product knowledge across upholstery, dining, bedroom, and accessories
Follow up with customers and maintain long-term relationships
Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals
Contribute to a collaborative, positive, and high-performing store culture

What We’re Looking For

Proven success in a retail sales environment
A competitive, results-oriented mindset with the drive to succeed
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence working in a commission-based environment
Appreciation for modern design, quality craftsmanship, and premium products
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and accountable
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Compensation & Growth

This position offers a commission structure designed to reward high performance. Our full-time Design Consultants typically earn between $65,000–$75,000 annually, with top performers exceeding that range.

At EQ3, we invest in people who want to grow. You’ll gain valuable experience in sales, customer experience, merchandising, and retail operations while working alongside a passionate and supportive team.

If you are driven by results, inspired by great design, and motivated to build a successful career in retail sales, we’d love to meet you.

WORK LIFE AT EQ3:

A company that supports work-life balance with paid time off and flexibility

Competitive compensation and benefit packages

Employee discount program for products, wellness plans, group banking and more

The EQ3 Spirit Committee that promotes community engagement, rewards and recognition for all employees

Surround yourself with a community that supports professional growth and collaboration

CLOSING DATE: Open until filled
