About This Opportunity
Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) is one of Ericsson's most exciting technology investments, combining wireless communications and sensing technologies that will help shape the future of 6G.
The ISAC System Verification (SV) team is building new ways to leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve product quality, test automation, engineering productivity, and verification efficiency. We are looking for a passionate Junior AI Developer who wants to apply AI and software development skills to real-world engineering challenges while learning from experienced engineers and technology leaders.
What you will do:
As a Junior AI Developer within the ISAC SV team, you will:
- Build and experiment with AI-powered solutions that improve verification and engineering workflows.
- Develop applications using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI concepts.
- Integrate AI tools with engineering systems and data sources.
- Analyze testing, quality, and engineering data to identify trends and opportunities for automation.
- Support proof-of-concepts and innovation projects focused on AI-enabled verification.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help teams make data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with System Verification Engineers, Test Managers, and software developers to solve challenging technical problems.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Science
- Mathematics
- Or a related field
- Programming experience in Python or another modern programming language, with willingness to learn Python
- Understanding of AI and machine learning fundamentals obtained through coursework, projects, internships, hackathons, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Prompt engineering
- APIs
- Git
- Software testing and debugging
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Curiosity and passion for learning and applying emerging AI technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RAG, vector databases, or agentic AI frameworks.
- Experience building AI-powered side projects, university projects, or participating in hackathons.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or cloud-based AI platforms.
- Familiarity with telecommunications, wireless systems, software testing, or quality engineering.

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
- Ottawa: $85,000 - $111,300CAD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
