Job Description

Essentra is seeking a self-motivated and driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team in our Burlington, Ontario office. The Inside Sales Rep (ISR) will work closely with the General Manager and sales manager regarding day-to-day development and execution of the inside sales strategy at Essentra Components to drive revenue and sales growth. The ISR will act as the liaison between the company and the customer, responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships, develop existing business and actively seek new sales opportunities. The Inside Sales Representative will utilize customer, product, and industry specific knowledge to engage and grow the customer base. This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite 3 days per week. The job also requires regular reporting and meeting KPI's, as well as cold calling.

Typical Accountabilities

Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities. This will require cold calling/cold e-mailing and following up on leads.
Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report
Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
Periodically prepare and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
Ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items
Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses
Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes
Ensure that the Essentra Components service proposition is being executed on a daily basis
Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings
Perform other related job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role such as customer service or sales.
Experience with industrial products is strongly preferred.
An outgoing demeanor and not fearful of calling on customers or reaching out to new contacts.
Willingness to complete regular reports and meet KPI's.
Willingness to work onsite 3 days a week.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Basic understanding of products and applications
Basic math and order entry skills
Must be motivated, persuasive, and dedicated
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Must be patient, empathetic, and able to put oneself in the customers' shoes.
Must be a positive thinker and team player.
Excellent reasoning and analytical ability.
Impeccable personal integrity and ethics.
A hands-on and can-do attitude driven by the will to accomplish tasks.
The ability to handle challenging customer interactions in a professional and diplomatic manner.
Able to identify and assess customers' needs to exceed their expectations.
Willing to adapt to changes and different circumstances.
Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase productivity.
