With a team of more than 60,000 heroes across 60 countries, we work every day to make the world a safer, healthier, and more sustainable place.

Eurofins is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and employees in our environmental laboratories across Alberta and British Columbia. This is a broad, hands-on HR role where you will have the opportunity to influence the employee experience, coach leaders and contribute to initiatives across the full employee lifecycle.

As a trusted HR partner, you will :

  • Coach and advise managers on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness;
  • Support recruitment, selection, onboarding and retention initiatives;
  • Guide managers through employee relations matters, workplace investigations, accommodations and other complex situations;
  • Assess learning and development needs, design tailored training programs and materials, and facilitate or support training sessions;
  • Support compensation, benefits and recognition programs, including salary review processes;
  • Partner with managers and the Health and Safety team to promote a safe, healthy and respectful workplace;
  • Support disability management, workplace accommodations and return-to-work processes;
  • Contribute to HR strategies, policies, organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Use HR data, metrics and dashboards to support informed decision-making;
  • Help ensure HR practices remain aligned with applicable employment, human rights, health and safety, workers’ compensation, privacy and recordkeeping requirements in Alberta and British Columbia.

A role that keeps you connected to the business :

  • You will work closely with leaders and employees across our operations and have opportunities to build meaningful relationships across multiple sites.
  • Candidates must be able and willing to travel to our sites to provide on-site HR support and stay connected to the teams they support.

Why this role?

If you enjoy the variety of a generalist HR role, want to have a tangible impact on the employee experience and are comfortable moving between strategic conversations and hands-on support, this position offers the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of HR activities.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a multi-site, laboratory, scientific, technical, industrial or professional services environment;
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance requirements in Alberta and British Columbia;
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters with sound judgment, discretion and a practical approach;
  • Strong communication, relationship building, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to coach and influence leaders;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort working with HR systems, data and reporting tools;
  • CPHR designation, or progress toward the designation, is an asset;
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Interested in taking the next step? We’d love to hear from you.
