St. Mary Catholic School is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 School
St. Mary Catholic School in Westlock, AB is currently seeking Educational Assistants to assist students with diverse academic and social/emotional needs.
These assignments are to begin as soon as possible and end June 30, 2027 of the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary range $20.74 - $29.32 as per Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.
Preference Given To Candidates With The Following Qualifications
All schools in Evergreen Catholic recognize the critical role that teachers serve in the mission of the Catholic Church. Teachers instruct the Faith through permeated lessons and through their example. To honour the importance of witness for our educators, all staff must sign the Faith Requirement Form, as a condition of employment.

- Able to effectively deal with crisis situation; physically able to lift and/or protect
- Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training
- Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
- Diploma in child/youth care, Educational Assistant Certificate and experience with Speech/Language Assistance are assets

Responsibilities
Assist students at St. Mary Catholic School with diverse academic and social-emotional needs. Support students through strength-based, trauma-informed practices and respond effectively to crisis situations.
Requirements
Experience with students with diverse needs and the ability to handle crisis situations are preferred. Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training and Mental Health First Aid or equivalent are preferred; a child/youth care diploma, Educational Assistant Certificate, and speech/language assistance experience are assets.
