Operations Manager

Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Barrie, ON. This position oversees day-to-day field operations, including scheduling crews, assigning jobs, coordinating materials and equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The Operations Manager monitors job progress, resolves on-site issues, and maintains clear communication with property managers and internal stakeholders. Daily tasks include reviewing work orders, managing inventory, supporting staff training, enforcing safety protocols, and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role also supports budgeting and reporting, helps refine operational processes, and contributes to the continued growth of the Simcoe service area.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management, field services, or construction/maintenance coordination.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs and teams simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to outdoor work sites and equipment use.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members through clear, professional communication.
• Comfort with using software tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation; basic proficiency with spreadsheets and office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and fostering a respectful, inclusive work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between job sites as needed.
• Previous experience in pavement maintenance, line painting, or property maintenance is an asset but not required.
