Hiring: Senior Advisor, Controllership
📍 Location: Quebec, Canada
🏢 Work Model: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite per week
🗣️ Languages: Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory
🎓 Qualification: CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation
We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Controllership to support financial reporting, technical accounting, governance, and business performance insights within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
- Apply IFRS requirements and provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions.
- Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable financial performance commentary.
- Identify accounting, reporting, and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Tax, Legal, and external auditors.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and stronger governance practices.
Required Qualifications:
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and IFRS.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate clear business insights.
- Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
