Mechanical Test Engineer / Test Technician

📍 Location: Mississauga, ON

🏢 Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite – 5 days/week

🕐 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

⏱️ Shift: 7.5 hours/day

Job Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer / Test Technician with a Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics background to support testing and validation of mobile computing products and hardware components.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, environmental, dynamic, reliability, and functional testing.

Follow test plans, work instructions, and testing standards.

Set up and troubleshoot test equipment, fixtures, and lab machinery.

Assist engineers with product failure diagnosis and replication.

Analyze test results and prepare test reports/non-compliance reports.

Document testing activities and provide project status updates.

Support testing for product/design revisions.

Required Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics background required.

2025 or 2026 graduates preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hand/power tools.

Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Basic AutoCAD or 3D CAD experience.

Knowledge of GD&T, calibration, and measurement methods.

Basic understanding of circuits, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Basic soldering/rework skills.

Familiarity with lab/test equipment and troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Nice to Have:

Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, or power supplies.

Experience in product testing, validation, reliability testing, or laboratory environments.

Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Familiarity with mobile computing products or Android systems.

Important: Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics background is required. Electrical Engineering-only backgrounds are not suitable. Master's degree candidates are not being considered.
