SAP Consultant

Contract: 12-month contract with possibility to extend

Location: Montreal, QC

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week, 2 days remote

Language: English required; French strongly preferred

Position Purpose

Lead regional SAP S/4HANA technical deployment and cutover activities, ensuring technical readiness, security, integrations, environments, defects, dependencies, vendors, and execution activities remain controlled throughout testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP S/4HANA deployment and cutover activities across SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Production Go-Live, and Hypercare.
• Own the regional cutover plan, runbook, task tracker, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate readiness across SAP Security/GRC, BASIS/BTP, Integration, QA, Fiori/UI, PMO, and third-party teams.
• Lead cutover command activities, including status collection, issue triage, decision-making, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure SAP security and access readiness, including roles, authorizations, emergency access, SoD considerations, and security evidence.
• Coordinate third-party technical readiness, including connectivity, environments, testing, defects, and cutover activities.
• Manage defect prioritization, escalation, and resolution while maintaining clear ownership and timelines.
• Validate interfaces, integrations, downstream dependencies, environments, and production readiness.
• Provide readiness evidence and recommendations for phase gates and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Lead cutover execution, including ramp-down, deployment, validation, ramp-up, and recovery activities.
• Support regional incident response during Hypercare and ensure clean transition to steady-state operations.
• Maintain leadership reporting covering readiness, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and outstanding actions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience leading SAP S/4HANA deployment, technical cutover, or enterprise ERP transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BASIS/BTP, Security/GRC, Integration, and SAP technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
• Experience with cutover planning, command center operations, defect management, release/transport governance, and readiness reporting.
• Experience coordinating vendors, third parties, and distributed technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of risks, dependencies, escalation management, and Go/No-Go governance.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-team SAP transformation environment.
• English required; French strongly preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA transformation experience is required.
