Senior Advisor, Controllership

Location: Montreal, QC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite per week

Language: Bilingual – English & French (mandatory)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Controllership with strong expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, and financial governance. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate month-end closing, IFRS compliance, effective internal controls, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Apply IFRS standards and provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions.
  • Perform financial and variance analysis and prepare management reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and audit compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation of finance processes.
Required Qualifications
  • CPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Hands-on IFRS application in complex business environments.
  • Experience in month-end close, internal controls, and audit support.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French is mandatory.
