Location: Saint-Laurent, QC, Canada

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Minimum Experience: 2+ years

Education: Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or equivalent

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and user-focused UX Designer II to contribute to software design solutions across enterprise applications. The successful candidate will understand user needs, develop innovative design concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, human-centered experiences.

Experience designing user experiences for machine vision applications and/or AI-powered software applications is highly preferred. This role focuses on designing UX components for products that use AI, rather than simply using AI tools to generate design work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify user needs, customer use cases, and design opportunities through research and collaboration.
  • Develop design concepts, prototypes, and solutions for validation with Product Managers, Program Managers, senior designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute throughout the design lifecycle, including customer research, concept development, prototyping, and execution.
  • Create information architecture, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and pixel-perfect production UI specifications.
  • Apply design thinking and human-centered design principles to improve customer experiences.
  • Apply interaction design, visual design, and design system principles to deliver consistent and intuitive interfaces.
  • Present design concepts and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
  • Consider web and mobile development technologies and production limitations when developing design solutions.
  • Use modern design and prototyping tools to support efficient design development and validation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a User Experience (UX) Designer.
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in HCI, Design, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A professional UX portfolio is mandatory. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • Strong problem-solving, conceptual development, and design-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in modern UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, workflows, and production-ready UI specifications.
  • Understanding of interaction design, visual design, design systems, and user-centered design principles.
  • Basic understanding of web and mobile development technologies and their limitations.
  • Strong written, verbal, visual communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing UX for machine vision applications and/or AI-powered software products.
  • Experience designing user-facing components that incorporate AI functionality.
  • Familiarity with generative AI technologies and AI-assisted design and prototyping tools, including Figma Make and Claude.
  • Experience with automation systems and related technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in an enterprise software environment.

Key Competencies:

  • User-centered problem-solving
  • Concept development and prototyping
  • Interaction and visual design
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Stakeholder communication and presentation
  • Understanding of technical constraints
  • Attention to detail and design quality
  • Adaptability and continuous improvement
