We are seeking a a Production Planner for our Mississauga site. The Production Planner will be responsible for all planning aspects related to production. This includes management of all work orders in support of on time delivery. The Production Planner acts as liaison for the Customer Service team and other internal support groups such as Supply Chain, Quality and Warehouse team to coordinate the timely movement of manufacturing processes and materials.

Main Responsibilities:

Schedule incoming sales orders in a timely manner and address order issues with Customer Service
Monitor forecasts and inventory levels of all products and proactively adjust production plans.
Establish and manage the production schedule to ensure the optimal usage of all available resources.
Create and maintain up to date Production Work Orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to reflect operational needs as well as production capacity.
Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and PM team to release NPI projects.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to always ensure available inventory of raw goods.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to always ensure available capacity of labor/machines.
Notify the Customer Service team of any impact that changes in deliveries may generate, to avoid or reduce disruptions in the level of service.
Maintain and update the scheduling parameters in the ERP system, such as manufacturing lead time, production batch sizes, etc.
Coordinate the scheduling and releasing work orders to ensure smooth release material from the warehouse to production.
Conduct weekly/monthly work order accounting close.
Conduct monthly capacity planning.
Analyze planning impacts due to engineering changes and develop plans to minimize effect on production.
Participate in improvement projects related to the relevant responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a Production Planner
College or university degree in operations management, supply chain management, or related field
APICS (CPIM) Certification is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling principles.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing and documentation.
Highly organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and perform effectively under pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and cross-functional team environment.
Experience working in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and/or FDA QSR-compliant environments is considered an asset.
