Role

In your role as an External Sales Representative, your primary mandate will be to develop new business partnerships with OEM customers in order to generate recurring contracts and increase the production volume of our electrical manufacturing division (panel maker). This role is primarily focused on prospecting and closing new opportunities. More precisely, you will have to :

Prospect and identify new OEM customers

Actively seek out target companies in the manufacturing sector (OEM) that could benefit from our control panel manufacturing solutions;
Conduct networking, monitoring, and research activities to identify new business opportunities.

Business development

Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential customers, understand their needs, and offer them tailored solutions;
Develop sales strategies and action plans to achieve set objectives (volume, margins, etc.);
Manage the entire sales cycle (from initial contact to contract signing)

Proposal management and negotiations

Prepare and present compelling service offerings, quotes, and commercial proposals;
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure agreements that are advantageous and sustainable for both parties.

Interdepartmental collaboration

Work closely with the production team, project managers, and engineering department to ensure the feasibility and profitability of proposed solutions;
Regularly communicate the progress of opportunities and orders to the VP of Sales and Marketing, VP of Manufacturing, and VP of Procurement.

Customer follow-up and satisfaction

Maintain a relationship of trust with signed customers to ensure their satisfaction and explore opportunities for future development;
Manage specific after-sales issues or requests, drawing on the company's internal resources.

Analysis and reporting

Monitor and evaluate sales performance (signed orders, margins, etc.) and provide regular reports to management;
Monitor the competition and the market to adapt sales strategies and identify new trends or opportunities;
Perform all other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or any other relevant field;
3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector;
Experience in market development and new account prospecting (an asset);
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite;
Knowledge of the basic principles of industrial automation and/or control panel manufacturing (an asset);
Good understanding of production processes in the manufacturing industry;
Knowledge of sales and negotiation techniques acumen;
Hold a valid driver's license;
Be able to travel to clients' locations (Quebec/Ontario, Canada, if necessary) as needed;
Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec.

Gestion des propositions et négociations

Préparer et présenter des offres de services, des devis et des propositions commerciales convaincantes ;
Négocier les termes et conditions contractuelles afin de conclure des ententes avantageuses et durables pour les deux parties.

Collaboration interservices

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de production, les chargés de projets, et le service d’ingénierie pour garantir la faisabilité et la rentabilité des solutions proposées ;
Communiquer régulièrement l’évolution des opportunités et des commandes aux VP Ventes et Marketing, VP fabrication et VP approvisionnement.

Suivi et satisfaction client

Maintenir une relation de confiance avec les clients signés pour assurer leur satisfaction et explorer des opportunités de développement futur ;
Gérer les problématiques ou demandes particulières post-vente, en s’appuyant sur les ressources internes de l’entreprise.

Analyse et rapport

Suivre et évaluer ses performances de vente (commandes signées, marges, etc.) et fournir des rapports réguliers à la direction ;
Effectuer une veille concurrentielle et de marché pour adapter les stratégies de vente et identifier de nouvelles tendances ou opportunités ;
Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.

EXIGENCES

Détenir un baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en génie ou toute autre formation pertinente ;
3 à 5 ans d’expérience en ventes B2B, idéalement dans le secteur industriel ou manufacturier ;
Expérience en développement de marché et de nouveaux comptes profil prospection (atout) ;
Être à l’aise avec la suite Office ;
Connaissance des principes de base de l’automatisation industrielle et/ou de la fabrication de panneaux de contrôle (atout) ;
Bonne compréhension des processus de production en industrie manufacturière ;
Connaissance des techniques de vente et de négociation ;
Détenir un permis de conduire valide ;
Être en mesure de se déplacer chez des clients (Québec/Ontario, Canada au besoin) selon les besoins ;
Avoir une excellente maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, parlé et écrit pour communiquer avec nos partenaires hors Québec.
