Original job description

Job Title: Business Development Manager, Oil and Gas (Industry Manager) · Location: Calgary, Alberta (hybrid)

The Opportunity

A global weather intelligence business is opening in Canada, and Calgary is where it starts. Energy customers want a Canadian partner, with a local team and Canadian-dollar billing. This hire is that partner: the first commercial seat in a new market, opening the territory and setting the standard for whoever follows.

The Impact You Will Have

Open doors at Alberta operators that have never bought from this business before
Own a year-one new-sales target of around US$300k, where new logos and upsell both count
Shape how a proven US sales model lands in Canada
Run deals from first meeting to signature, with SDR, proposal and client services support behind you
Become the name Calgary’s energy buyers connect with weather risk

What Success Looks Like

2 to 5 years selling into, or working inside, oil and gas, with the network to show for it
You know how operators buy: who decides, who influences, how long it takes
Software or data sales is a plus. A meteorology background is not required
You build trust patiently, because Canadian buyers expect it
Coachable and curious, not set in your ways

What Is on Offer

A base salary plus a bonus that pays at least 20% at target and keeps rising as you exceed it.
Hybrid working, with office space through a parent group established in Canada for over 30 years.
A large US team behind you from day one.
A short, two-stage interview process, with a start in the new year.

If you are already winning in Alberta’s energy sector and want to be first in, rather than one of many, we would like to talk. Every conversation is confidential.

Who are we?

Executive Integrity is a global executive search and recruitment consultancy for a more sustainable world with a focus on talent within the Maritime and Renewable Energy sectors. We give a proportion of all our profits to Renewable World, a charity that develops affordable and innovative renewable energy solutions to poverty-stricken communities.
