Financial Project Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – every Monday and the first Friday of each month onsite
Duration: 4 months, with possibility of extension and conversion to permanent
Pay Rate: $62/hour INC or $53/hour T4
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variance analysis.
- Perform GL reconciliations, accruals, chargebacks, and invoice tracking.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Monitor project financials, risks, issues, and action items.
- Support resource allocation, headcount tracking, and financial governance.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and provide insights.
- Develop and improve operational processes and documentation.
- Support user onboarding and troubleshooting for project financial management tools.
- Prepare executive presentations and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple workstreams.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in project coordination, PMO, business effectiveness, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Strong experience in project/program financial management.
- Hands-on experience with GL reconciliation, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Strong financial reporting and data analysis skills.
- Experience with process improvement and documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Candidates must have hands-on experience with reconciliations, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis, along with advanced Excel, PowerPoint proficiency, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
