Position: GCP Data engineer
Location: Toronto, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 3+ Months
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in SQL with the ability to write efficient, complex queries.
- Nice to have knowledge in DBT for data modeling and transformation
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery and other GCP data services.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
- Basic to intermediate skills in Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Build and support data engineering solutions using BigQuery and other Google Cloud Platform data services. Write complex SQL queries and use Python scripting and automation, with DBT knowledge for data modeling and transformation considered an asset.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and five years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Candidates should have strong SQL skills, hands-on BigQuery and GCP experience, knowledge of data warehousing, basic-to-intermediate Python skills, and familiarity with Git.
