As EDC aims to be the leader in helping all Canadian exporters go, grow, and succeed internationally, the Digital Platform Delivery & Architecture (DPDA) group in EDC plays a critical role in enabling leaders to leverage technologies by providing an easy-to-use, secure and fit-for-purpose digital business platform.

The Digital Platforms team within the Working Capital Solutions group is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer/Lead with specialized AI expertise to help build and evolve EDC's AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities. This role will focus on modernizing test automation, integrating AI into quality assurance practices, and improving software reliability, delivery speed, and operational performance across the SDLC. The incumbent will design and implement secure, enterprise-grade testing solutions, establish best practices for AI-assisted quality engineering, and support the adoption of emerging capabilities that enhance how software is validated, tested, monitored, and supported. As EDC's AI journey matures, the role will contribute to the evolution of increasingly intelligent and automated quality processes while ensuring strong governance, security, and human oversight. Define and execute automation strategies based on risk, business value, and maintainability
Drive continuous improvement of automation reliability, coverage, performance, and execution speed
Lead quality engineering practices across an AI-enabled and Agentic SDLC
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design, automation development, defect analysis, and reporting
Validate AI-generated test cases, automation code, and recommendations before production use
Develop testing approaches for AI-powered applications, agents, and autonomous workflows
Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to build quality into the SDLC from the start
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and standards for automation, quality engineering, and AI-assisted testing practices

What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
8+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation, SDET, Quality Engineering, or Software Development delivering enterprise-scale solutions, including 2+ years of experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and modern AI-enabled SDLC practices

What will make you stand out:

Knowledge of cloud platforms.
Experience integrating intelligent automation into Quality Engineering and CI/CD workflows
