Job Opportunity: Technical Estimator & Business Development Manager
Location: Guelph, Ontario (regional travel within approximately 150 km)
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 CAD + uncapped commission
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Estimator & Business Development Manager to support growth in specialized environmental remediation and disaster restoration services. This hybrid role combines technical site assessments, project estimating, and proactive business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with restoration contractors, environmental consultants, and property managers.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow the regional client base.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare accurate, profitable project estimates.
- Scope and estimate hazardous material abatement, mould remediation, and specialized blast cleaning projects.
- Calculate labour, equipment, production rates, and containment requirements.
- Ensure estimates comply with applicable Ontario regulations and industry standards.
- Manage territory travel, client meetings, and estimating deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in property restoration, environmental abatement, or related technical contracting.
- Strong knowledge of estimating, containment systems, specialized blasting, and remediation methods.
- Familiarity with Ontario Regulation 278/05 and applicable IICRC standards.
- EACO or IICRC certifications are an asset.
- Proven business development and relationship-building skills.
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence and willingness to travel regionally.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $80,000–$95,000 CAD, based on experience.
- Uncapped commission on qualifying new business revenue.
