Service Coordinator/ DesignEstimator
Main Tasks
- Respond to incomingphone calls Communicate with Customers
- Arrange appropriate serviceresponse to Customerrequirements as needed
- Schedule Inspection, Serviceand Installation work as requiredbased on customerneed and expectation and previous inspections
- Prepare Customer RequestedQuotes, Inspection Quotations and Inspection files and work orders
- Review Inspections after completion and prepare inspection certificates and repair estimates
- Quote parts and service as per pricingPolicy
- Arrange Materials and Services from Suppliers as needed to meet inspection, service and repair work schedule and customer orders
- Review Tenders, determinerequirements, prepare and submit quotations to meet tender deadline
- Basic Structural and mechanical analysis/ design
- Basic CAD drawingpreparation
- Filing of job files when completed
- Shipping and receivingCourier Packages
- Identify and recommend ways to continuously improve methods, procedures, costs, revenues
- Participate in rotationof afterhours CustomerService break down repair’s response. (involves responding to the occasional Urgent calls from Answering service and arranging service response)
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Skills and Experience
- Good telephone/ e-mailcommunication skills
- Ability to organizeand manage severaltasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills- Good basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Mailings, Outlook, Scanning, Web Searching, basic computer troubleshooting skills and an ability to learn skills in above via self-teaching as needed
- An understanding of mechanical devicesrelated material handling equipment and electrical concepts/ circuit interpretation
- Knowledge of suppliers of parts and services as it relates to material handling equipment
- CAD Experience (preferred)
- An understanding of continuous improvement techniques and qualitysystems
Education/Training
- Grade 12 minimum
- Technical College course would be beneficial preferably mechanical or electrical engineering technologist
- External Advanced trainingin Word, Excelwould be beneficial
- External Project management courses would be beneficial
- CAD capabilities are beneficial

Responsibilities
Coordinate customer service, inspections, installations, and repairs, including scheduling work, preparing quotes and documentation, and arranging materials and suppliers. Review tenders, prepare basic mechanical and structural analyses and CAD drawings, and contribute to process improvement and after-hours service response.
Requirements
A Grade 12 education is the minimum, with technical college training - preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering technology - considered beneficial. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, basic math and computer proficiency, familiarity with material handling equipment and electrical concepts, and preferably CAD experience.
